 ଏହି ଟ୍ରେନଟି ଶାଲିମାରରୁ ରାତି 3.20 ରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇ ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟା ପ୍ରାୟ 6.30 ସମୟରେ ବାଲାସୋରରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବ ବୋଲି ଆଶା କରାଯାଉଛି |

 ଉଭୟ ଅପ୍ ଏବଂ ଡାଉନ୍ ଲାଇନ୍ ପାଇଁ ପୁନରୁଦ୍ଧାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସମାପ୍ତ ହେବା ସହିତ ବାଲାସୋରର ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ଷ୍ଟେସନରେ ସାଧାରଣ ଟ୍ରେନ୍ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଧୀରେ ଧୀରେ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହେଉଛି |

 ଏହି ସମୟରେ, କମିଶନର୍ ରେଳ ସୁରକ୍ଷା (CRS) ପ୍ରାଥମିକ ବୈଠକର ପ୍ରଥମ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟାୟ ସମାପ୍ତ କରିଥିବା ବେଳେ ଗତକାଲି ସିବିଆଇ ଟିମ୍ ଉକ୍ତ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବା ପରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଛି।

 CRS AM Choudhury ଲୋକୋ ପାଇଲଟ୍, ଆସିଷ୍ଟାଣ୍ଟ ଲୋକୋ ପାଇଲଟ୍, ଷ୍ଟେସନ୍ ମାଷ୍ଟର, ଟ୍ରେନ୍ ମ୍ୟାନେଜର, GRP କର୍ମଚାରୀ, ପ୍ୟାଣ୍ଟ୍ରି କାର୍ କର୍ମଚାରୀ, ଡ୍ୟୁଟି ଷ୍ଟେସନ ଅଧୀକ୍ଷକ, ଟ୍ରେନର ଟିଟିଇ, ଷ୍ଟେସନରେ ସୁପରଭାଇଜର କର୍ମଚାରୀ ଏବଂ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ମେଡିକାଲ କର୍ମଚାରୀଙ୍କ ସମେତ ପ୍ରାୟ 55 ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ଭେଟିଛନ୍ତି  ପୀଡିତମାନେ।

 ରେଳବାଇ ଟ୍ରିପଲ-ଟ୍ରେନ୍ ଦୁର୍ଘଟଣାରେ 288 ଜଣଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁକୁ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ କରିଛି ଯେଉଁଥିରୁ 205 ଟି ମୃତଦେହ ଚିହ୍ନଟ କରାଯାଇ ସମ୍ପର୍କୀୟଙ୍କୁ ହସ୍ତାନ୍ତର କରାଯାଇଛି।  ତେବେ 83 ଟି ମୃତଦେହ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଚିହ୍ନଟ ହୋଇପାରି ନାହିଁ।

 ପରିଚୟ ପରେ ଶବକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ପର୍କୀୟଙ୍କୁ ହସ୍ତାନ୍ତର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସମସ୍ତ ସମ୍ଭାବ୍ୟ ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ନିଆଯାଉଛି ବୋଲି ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ପୂର୍ବ ରେଳ ବିଭାଗର ଜଣେ ବରିଷ୍ଠ ଅଧିକାରୀ କହିଛନ୍ତି।

Howrah-Chennai Coromandel Express will start its journey today, its first operation after the tragic accident.

Limping back to normalcy, the newly constituted rake of Howrah-Chennai Coromandel Express will start its journey, it's first operation after the ghastly incident, from Shalimar station today (7 June).

The train is expected to start at 3.20pm from Shalimar and will reach Balasore at about 6.30pm in the evening.

With the completion of restoration works for both up and down lines, the normal train operations are gradually starting at the affected station in Balasore.

Leaving nothing to chance, the Indian Railways has undertaken a massive exercise to strengthen safety mechanisms in train operation. Chairman Railway Board A K Lahoti held a meeting of General Managers of all zones on Tuesday (6 June) evening to ensure fool-proof systems in the Railways.

Meanwhile, the CBI team has started the work after reaching the site yesterday while the Commissioner Railway Safety (CRS) has completed the first round of preliminary meeting.

CRS AM Choudhury has met about 55 persons including loco pilots, assistant loco pilots, station master, train managers, GRP personnel, pantry car staff, on duty station superintendent, TTE of the train, supervisory staff at the station and the medical staff who attended the victims.  

The Railways has confirmed 288 deaths in the triple-train accident out of which 205 bodies have been identified and handed over to their relatives. However, 83 bodies are yet to be identified.

Every possible step is being taken to hand over bodies to their relatives after identification, said a senior South eastern Railway official.
